Globe At Night

E-mail Print PDF

GLOBE at Night is an invaluable, year-round exercise tailor-made for families and students alike, helping them pinpoint and (hopefully) eradicate the light pollution near their homes, schools and workplaces. The exercise asks citizens to use various constellations throughout the year to gauge the number of “lost” stars in the sky. The cumulative effect of several reports coming from a variety of concerned people is to create a map showing the darkest and most light-cluttered areas in a neighborhood or town.
